Step by Step to a Successful Application

Application Period

Regular application period for full-time studies:

  • 15 April - 15 July for entry in October 
  • 15 November - 15 January for entry in March

Exceptions to the regular application period:

  • Master in Strategic and International Management: apply 15 Nov - 15 Feb for entry in March
  • Master Applied Research in Engineering Sciences: apply 15 April - 31 May for October entry or 15 Nov - 15 Dec for March entry

 

General application deadlines for part-time studies:

  • October entries: Applications accepted until July 15
  • March entries: Applications accepted until January 15

Application Categories

Applying as a Regular International Student

Are you an international applicant?
 

You are an international applicant if you fall into one of the following catagories:

  • You are not a German national
  • Your university entrance qualification is from a non-German high school

If you are interested in applying at our university, there are many different options available to you. Choose to study at our main campus in Deggendorf, the Technology Campus Cham or at the European Campus Rottal-Inn. You can study in English or in German.
 

How to Apply

Apply directly to DIT online application platform (Primuss) and follow the steps indicated. Required documents for application:

  • Secondary school leaving certificate
  • Final bachelor certificate and transcripts of records
  • CV and photo
  • Language certificates
  • Passport

The whole list of documents is available on the Primuss platform during the application period. It will be individual generated out of your given personal information on the online platform Primuss. All required documents must be uploaded before the given deadlines. It is not necessary to send in documents by post mail during the official application period. Please follow all steps, which are explained in detail on the application portal and read all explanations carefully.

Please check your application status in the Primuss portal regularly!

 

DIT university applicants from China, Mongolia and Vietnam have specific admission requirements. A certificate from the Academic Inspection Authority / Akademische Prüfstelle (APS) from a German Embassy in the respective country is required.

Applying as a German National

If you are a German citizen, please apply online via our the online application platform, Primuss. Enter you personal details and your qualifications, then upload all relevant documents such as your high school qualification certificates. View the application timeline to get an visual overview of your application period. You may fill out parellel applications for multiple courses at DIT.

Part-time courses

 

You can apply all year round for part-time courses at the Centre for academic further education. All applications are required to be completed via the Primuss application portal. Study places are allocated in the order of receipt of application, provided that the entry requirements for the course is fullfilled.

Enrolment

 

Following a successful application, you are required to enrol online via Primuss in order to secure your study place. You will need to send in registration documents, consisting of various applications and forms refered to in your letter of admission. This letter also contains the enrolement deadline for your course and the following steps.
