The two Research and Development Centres for Intelligent Production and Intelligent Robotics, the Digital Innovation Centre, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK), and the Eastern Bavaria Mechatronics Network are all located right next door to your lecture halls. Mobility & Infrastructure
If you do not have access to a personal vehicle, renting an accommodation within the city of Cham is highly recommended. While affordable housing options are also available in the surrounding municipalities, public transport connections to these areas operate on limited schedules.
However, students residing within the district of Cham can benefit from several key travel perks:
District Travel Discount: Students living in the District of Cham who are under 23 years of age and hold a valid student ID can travel free of charge on local public transport on school days after 2:00 PM, as well as all day during weekends and public holidays.
Discounted Deutschlandticket: Students at DIT are eligible for the discounted Deutschlandticket, providing unlimited nationwide local and regional public transport access for just €43 per month.
On-Demand Bus Service (Rufbus): The District of Cham operates an on-demand minibus service that runs according to a fixed timetable based on advance bookings. Reservations can be made daily, Monday to Sunday, between 6:30 AM and 9:00 PM.

The main campus in Badstraße is 1,3 km, or a 15 min walk, from a second campus building campus in Dr.-Muggenthaler-Straße 11, Cham. Here's where to park:
