Lecturer: Dr. Felix Bauer – Statistics expert, freelance lecturer
This course teaches participants decision-making criteria for the correct application of statistical testing methods. The course examines the question (difference or correlation hypotheses), the scale level of the
variables, and the distribution of the variables included (approximate normal distribution). At the beginning, the procedure for scale analysis with multi-item scales is presented. For difference hypotheses, the parametric methods
and the non-parametric alternatives are presented. Their application is practiced using a data set provided by the instructor. For correlation hypotheses, building on the data analysis and statistics course, the inclusion of dichotomous variables in multiple regression analysis is presented. Furthermore, methods of mediator and moderator analysis are discussed.
