International Open Access Week
This year, the International Open Access Week takes place from October 19 to 25, 2026, under the theme "The Cost of Knowledge". DIT invites you to join the international academic and research community in exchanging ideas and exploring collaborative opportunities around open access. At DIT, extensive information on open access can be found on the library's website under Open Science and on the Scientific Publications and Presentations website.
Make knowledge accessible – break down barriers with preprints
Preprints are early versions of research manuscripts that are made available via open access on preprint servers prior to submission to journals and peer review. As they are free to post and read, preprints accelerate the dissemination of knowledge, increase visibility and foster collaboration. This presentation introduces the concept of preprints, their vital role in advancing open science and practical ways in which they can benefit researchers at all stages of their careers.
