It is becoming increasingly important for the healthcare sector to find computer scientists with specialist expertise. This is because the healthcare industry is relying more and more on IT systems and modern digital technology. The demands placed on you as a computer scientist are very high, as you must also have a thorough understanding of the complex healthcare system. That is why DIT offers the Healthcare Informatics degree programme. By combining both fields of knowledge – computer science and healthcare – you will receive a comprehensive education as a computer scientist whilst deepening your medical expertise. And as a university, DIT offers even more. You’ll have the chance to get involved in many research projects in the healthcare sector. Artificial intelligence is also set to become increasingly important in healthcare. We definitely have a number of experts here who can provide you with fascinating insights.
