Lecturer: Prof. Dr. Stefan Hagl - Professor for Statistics, Machine Learning and Quantitative Methods at DIT

Participants will consolidate their knowledge of the familiar concepts of descriptive statistics, particularly with regard to univariate and bivariate descriptions as well as issues of correlation and regression, and will focus on strengthening their understanding of the concepts of inductive statistics based on probability theory. The course will demonstrate how to construct the necessary models using random variables, test functions and their probability distributions. Participants will become familiar with the basic concepts of common distribution-dependent and distribution-free test procedures and apply them in a targeted manner.
