Our Unique Concept
Since 2009, DIT has been gradually establishing technology transfer centres, later renamed in Campuses, in close cooperation with the districts and local authorities in the areas where these Campuses are located.
Our Campuses offer solution-oriented research for regional businesses throughout Bavaria as well as for international partners in the clusters of Digital Technologies, Future Mobility, Sustainable Energy, Materials of the Future, Production and Automation, Health Research, and Sustainability, Construction and Environmental Technology.
These collaborations set innovative trends and create development opportunities far from urban centres. Local industry partners benefit from access to DIT’s laboratory and research facilities. This creates a symbiosis between scientific research and its economic application. The Campuses are therefore enablers and problem-solvers for the economy.
