Sunsets and innovation in sustainability

“Grüß Gott” was the first Bavarianphrase Sarah learned when she  moved to Pfarrkirchen. She likes that it sounds so sweet and welcoming. She appreciates the town´s quaintness, natural surroundings and friendly people.

Sarah likes the sunsets in Pfarrkirchen. That´s why she enjoys being on campus during evening classes, because you have a beautiful view then. Her favourite sunset view is from Gartlberg Church, when the sun paints the city orange. She would also like to show it to her family when they come to visit.

Sarah moved to Pfarrkirchen for the ECRI´s English-taught Energy Systems Engineering programme, attracted by its forward-thinking approach to innovation in sustainability. The programme also offers lots of opportunities for practical experience and to work with others. This is a skill Sarah finds relevant to everyday life
and one she personally would like to strengthen.

Sarah finds that there is excellent public transport in Pfarrkirchen and that the quality of life is high. She´s open to staying after graduation, but it depends on her social life and personal growth.
