Daniela's experience of diversity at the ECRI

Daniela´s daily routine has changed since she moved to Pfarrkirchen. She originally comes from a big city where the pace is different. Now she loves going to her favourite coffee shop or taking a quiet walk along the river. Pfarrkirchen is rather small compared to her hometown and is home to people from all over the world, which Daniela loves.

For her, the ECRI means opportunity, friendships and diversity. Here she learns about various cultures and ways of thinking and how to work with people who do things vastly differently from her. That´s why it is important to cooperate, help and support each other, especially as international students who are living far away from home.

Daniela likes lunch break at the ECRI because then all the students come to the Mensa and enjoy lunch together. She likes the food there but misses Plátanos (plantains in English). In Guatemala they are prepared in many ways. Fried with a bit of sugar on top, in the oven with cinnamon, boiled, etc. and usually eaten for breakfast or dinner.
