Completely arrived in Bavaria

For Camila, home is a place where you are at peace. She came here to experience the German culture and because she liked the courses offered by the ECRI. Now she thinks of Pfarrkirchen as her new home and has decided to stay here after graduation. She still misses her family but they have come to visit her before and she showed them the Rottal-Inn region and her favourite places.

Camila has grown fond of the area and even knows some Bavarian words. Her favourite one so far is “Siaße” which is often used in Bavaria when someone is considered a sweet person. She not only likes the meaning, but also the way it sounds. Another Bavarian thing that she really likes is Spätzle, a famous traditional dish. It is a German egg noodle with a chewy, dumpling-like texture often served with melted cheese. However, she still misses empanadas paraguayas, a traditional dish from her home country Paraguay. Empanadas are a hearty meal usually filled with minced meat and hardboiled egg and fried in oil.
