Pursuing a tourism degree near the Alps

Although Tenjing comes from a faraway country, there are certain similarities. In Nepal they eat “momo”, a kind of dumpling, which he also likes to cook here in Pfarrkirchen. He has noticed that Germans also love this dish. One thing he misses about home is the snow-covered mountains. But as Pfarrkirchen is situated between the Alps and the Bavarian Forest, he can go hiking whenever he has time. Before moving to Pfarrkirchen, he worked as a trekking guide and it was there that he met someone who told him about the ECRI. Since the campus is English-speaking and offers International Tourism Management, a field related to his work, he decided to study in Pfarrkirchen.

Tenjing has never regretted his choice, as he finds the ECRI to be an educational, motivating, and supportive faculty. The supportive and helpful lecturers and staff, the highly qualified and experienced professors make the ECRI special in his eyes. He also likes that the ECRI is so accepting and welcoming of all students, no matter where  they come from or what their background is. But he has also found supportive people in the area and would stay in Rottal-Inn if he got the right job.
