Dmitry (aka Dima) Etin is a recognized expert in the field of public digital health, healthcare data management and interoperability. He started his health IT journey, building an IT department in a hospital, where he spent 5 years, developing and implementing Patient Administration and Electronic Medical Record systems. Last 15 years he spent in companies like Tieto, EMC, Dell and now Oracle solutioning complex healthcare interoperability platforms for national and regional health systems, representing his employers in European and international standardization working groups. He was involved in well-known e-health projects in EMEA, such as KANTA in Finland, National EMR in Georgia. Dmitry is also a co-founder of the bioinformatic association FOROME.ORG - a spin-off, initially funded with NIH grants for the Brigham Genomic Medicine, Undiagnosed Diseases Network and related clinical research programs, focusing on developing open-source community tools for genomic analysis of complex patient cases with hereditary diseases. Currently Dmitry is a mentor and an ambassador for Oracle for Startups program. Dmitry is based out of Vienna, Austria.
